Gastronomic tour of the Emilia-Romagna region

Day 1 – Bologna
Meeting of the participants at the agreed place. Arrival in Bologna, an ancient university city known for its towers, long porticos and a well-preserved historic centre, one of the largest in Italy. The visit will include the basilica of San Petronio located in Piazza Maggiore, the Church of San Francesco, the first example of French Gothic in Italy, and many other significant monuments. At the end of the guided tour, hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Parma – Modena – Parma
After breakfast departure for a visit to a cheese factory in Modena with relative tasting of typical local cheeses, which will continue with a traditional lunch in the centre with relative guided tour of the city, the Cathedral, the Civic Tower and the Piazza Grande of the city, all places that entered since 1997 in the list of Italian World Heritage Sites by Unesco. At the end of the visit, departure for Parma and hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – Parma
In the morning guided tour of the city and of its historic centre, and continuation to visit a ham factory. In fact, Parma ham (prosciutto di Parma) is famous all over the world and is distinguished not only by its nutritional peculiarities (the only ingredients are pork and salt, without additives or preservatives) but also by the “crown”, i.e. the trademark that is branded only on the original. The visit will end with a lunch/tasting. End of the services.
